I am an interior designer and also in general a creative spirit.  I was born and raised in down home South Louisiana, a Ragin Cajun, where football is a religion and fried food is on the menu daily, ya’ll.  After graduating from Louisiana State University with a Bachelors of Interior Design, my passion for art, design, and travel sent me packing and off to the big city, Los Angeles.

By day, I am a designer in the hospitality industry.  Design has turned out to be more of an adventure than I could have ever expected.  I spent two years in Hong Kong working on a hotel with an amazing and diverse group of people.  The project was intense and I found myself running, boating, bussing, and mini-bussing around mainland China watching furniture designs become reality and bare slabs become immaculate structures over night (literally, they are quick in those parts).  I traveled. I sang Backstreet Boys with the locals on a bus in Malaysia, broke a few bones climbing a mountain in Sabah, saw the cherry blossoms bloom in Kyoto, and danced a few nights a way in Goa.

Now back inhabiting sunny Los Angeles once again, I am inspired as I find my little LA “family” at a point in life where relationships are becoming partnerships and leases are becoming mortgages.  A time when making a space into a home is on the top of the priority list.  After a day in the corporate cube, I return to my beach rental carefully styled with Ikea, Target, garage sale steals, and an eclectic mix of travel finds, a far cry from the spaces I am dealing with during the day, but nonetheless, my home.  It is the place where we all gather over wine and mindless reality television to dish about our lives.  So, I hope to help you, whoever you are, make your space one that you can love, even on a budget!

I am YOUNG, BROKE, and DECORATING.
